Acquisition No.: 2001-06
Title: Photograph Copy; Paving the Hanover Road Through Bonneauville.
Item History:

The road from Bonneauville to Hanover, PA was the last to be layed out through Bonneauville. The New Oxford to Two Taverns Road and the Hunterstown to Littlestown Road preceeded it. However the Hanover to Gettysburg route was the first to be paved. This shot of the latest high tech concrete laying rig was taken at Square Corner about one mile east of Bonneauville as the crew slowly made its way east.

When interviewed in the first decade of the 21st Century, several of the elderly of Bonneauville recalled "rollerskateing from the town to Gettysburg on the smooth, hard surface".
