Item History: |
Ink blotter advertising was common in the first half of the 20th Century and before. The intent was that each time a drop of ink from a fountain pen formed, it was immediately absorbed with a blotter before it smeared. Each time a blotter was implemented it's advertising would be revealed to the user. Before moving to Bonneauville, Austin Neiderer lived in Brushtown, PA. There he sold tires, auto parts and Christian brand pianos as advertised on this blotter. Note phone no. 909R12.
