Item History: Early candle lighting device. Brass with wood handle. Manufacturer marked "Houchin No. 620, New York." 30" length. Recovered from behind the stairwell of the attic steps upon demolition of St. Joseph's Rectory in 2013. Note the absence of a conical snuffer which was incorporated on later models.
