Item History: |
This is a first decade of the 19th Century, I. A. Noel calendar from Bonneauville, PA. The condition is very good. Backer only, no date pages remain. Embossed Fruit and flowers are the still-life motif. The chromolithographic art printing colors are vivid.
Advertised are: "Dry goods, notions, groceries, boots, shoes, hats, caps, hardware, tinware, stoneware, Queensware, Linoleum, oil cloth and matting."
This piece was recovered from the Mary Esther Kuhn Estate Scrapbook. (See Cat. No. 2014-08F.) The calandar date pages were likely removed so that the beautiful artwork could be incorporated into the scrapbook. However the scrapbook was full and the calendar back was never pasted in.
See Cat. No. 1998-02 for 1909 I. A. Noel Calendar.
