Title: Auction bill for the property of John E. "Lardy" Weaver, 1956.
Item History:

John E. Weaver was born and raised in Bonneauville, PA. He was the son of John "Brandy" Weaver, a grocery store owner in the town. John E. was a dealer in antiques. During a 2002 interview, the late Anna Little Nobel recalled a time before her marriage when Mr. Weaver would scour the barns and attics on the farms around Bonneauville in search of primitive old furniture and artifacts.

Mr. Weaver offered; "His entire collection of Early American antiques and rare Pennsylvania furniture" at this "Extrordinary Public Auction." His house, barn and twenty acres of land were also sold. Mr. Weaver chose Clair Slaybaugh as his auctioneer. This bill was one of many that remained with Mr. Slaybaugh until a portion of his estate was sold at auction on 11/15/14.
