Acquisition No.: 1994-05
Title: Photograph; Early Ambrose Myers Farm, Bonneauville, PA.
Item History:

The Ambrose "Brookie" Myers farm is located at the intersection of Hanover and Cedar Streets in Bonneauville, PA. (2 Cedar Street). The farm consists of about 100 acres. Nearly 97 percent of the land is undeveloped and buildable (2014).

Some of the land boundaries follow the same lines as the plantation called "Beautiful" did in 1749 - the property lines now mark the northern boundary of the borough of Bonneauville.

This photograph copy was taken in the late 19th or early 20th Century. The farm changed little over a half-century and consequently this is is about what the farm looked like in the 1950's when the barn was destroyed by fire. The giant hay pile would not have existed by then since modern bailing equipment had been developed. Note the gravel roads and that Chicken Run is still exposed above ground.

6" x 8" frame.
