Captain Jacob Miller served with the 165th Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War. Upon returning home to Bonneauville, he became an undertaker, casket and furniture maker, carpenter and farmer. His places of business were located on Maple Street in Bonneauville. This 1872 receipt, found in the Wagaman Family bible, is for the preparation of Conrad Wagaman for burial. $35.00 for black robe, enbalming and casket.
