Acquisition No.: 1975-03
Title: Fireman's Axe; T. Ambrose Myers.
Item History:

This fire axe was gifted to me by my grandfather Ambrose Myers. Ambrose was a charter member of the Bonneauville Fire Co, (1923/1924). It was on Ambroses, and earlier his father (Cletus Myers) land that the first Bonneauville fire house was constructed. The building is now a home garage at the private residence of 19 E. Hanover Street in Bonneauville. The axe is typical of those carried on early fire fighting vehicles but has no markings or specific history as to which vehicle. (Ref. Acq. No. 2001-07 and 2004-09 for early Bonneauville firetruck photographs. Note the axe mounted over the rear fender in photo 2004-09.)

Manufacturerer; Collins.
