| Item History: | In this original pen and ink sketch, Matthew Orndorff spans nearly 150 years of architectural change. The original St. Joseph's Church was built of wood in 1859 by a community of workers who could ill afford a masonry structure. Within 50 years, the roof had been removed from the original building and a new brick church built around the existing one. |
