M & T Bank, PNC Bank, Community National Bank,and Adams County National Bank have attempted to operate a branch office in Bonneauville, PA. - all apparently without great success. The building they occupied at 14 W. Hanover Street is currently (2014) named Brothers Pizza. Before the bank building was constructed in the 1970's, a large Pennsylvania bank barn stood on the spot.

All of the banks and manufacturing businesses in Bonneauville have long been closed. Except for cigar manufacturing, the trades have not done very well in the town. There never seems to have been a successful restaurant in Bonneauville in terms of longevity (2004). Two centuries of business minded men and women seem to have been determined to turn the tiny town into something it has stubbornly refused to become.
