Acquisition No.: 1990-07
Title: Bowl and Pitcher; Bonneauville Hotel
Item History:

In 1990, this washbowl and pitcher set was purchased by Karl and Julie Orndorff at a yard sale on Maple Street in Bonneauville. The structure was constructed of logs and later clad with clapboard, and then aluminum siding. Raymond Strausbaugh was the last proprietor of the hotel before it became the private home for he and his wife and sixteen children. The building was later the home of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick J. and Sylvia Strausbaugh Eckenrode. At a yard sale in 1990 he liquidated many items including this set sold as; "came from the old hotel."

The oak table on which this washbowl and pitcher sets also came from the old hotel. It is not a part of the Museum collection.
