The renowned potter Anthony Baecher (1824-1889) is known as "The best of the best of the Shenandoah Valley School of Potters." Pages 60 and 61 of this book give accolades to Mr. Baecher. Excluding Ditzler of Bonneauville, Pages 100 and 101 list potters that Anthony worked for on his journey to self employment.
