This folk Art hand-made toy airplane was fashioned by the late Joseph Leo Walter of 12 Pin oak Drive, Bonneauville, PA. The silver and red four engine plane was cleverly fabricated from whatever materials Mr. Walter had at hand. Joseph lived the hardships of the Great Depression and apparently developed a fine knack for making his own toys. The craft became a life-long hobby.

Joseph was the father of Paul J. Walter of 15 Pin Oak Drive. Several of Joseph's hand-crafted pieces were offered for sale at Paul's 1/5/19 estate auction.

The plane appears to have the flavor of a per-1950's passenger aircraft blended with imagination and memory.
