Mr. Staub liked to create folkart pieces from repurposed items found at auctions or wherever else he could acquire them. The horse in this horse and buggy piece was once a cast metal stand-alone figure. The Amish wagon was made from wood scraps and neatly covered with black vinyl. The Amish couple were sawn from scrap wood and painted. The under-scale wheels were likely from a toy that was no longer serviceable.
